Over the years shamanism and ceremony has brought\u00a0me to\u00a0a direct and ever deepening\u00a0encounter with\u00a0nature as living and sacred. So how does this help me in my everyday life? Well\u00a0when I stumble, falter and fall in my daily doings this encounter makes the journey back to my centre, creativity\u00a0and power so much clearer and easier to navigate. This week I was in a situation where I\u00a0listened to people\u00a0highly\u00a0critical of climate activism, describing it as a cult\u00a0as well as questioning\u00a0if there is a problem at all.\u00a0Science and people across the world\u00a0offer a conflicting\u00a0view however shamanism gives us a opportunity to find our own\u00a0truth and power.\u00a0In my own work if I feel\u00a0and observe how we are treating our home the Earth and all life upon it\u00a0including each other it is clear to me that\u00a0there is a issue we need\u00a0to address! I see Shamanism as a branch of activism and of\u00a0this awakening addressing these issues and offering\u00a0spiritual solutions beyond our personal lives.\u00a0I asked in a shamanic\u00a0journey earlier this year\u00a0about a possible\u00a0climate disaster\u00a0and the answer came “if we told you would it stop you planting the\u00a0trees, working with ceremony and your healing work with people and the land” my answer was clear I am\u00a0simply to\u00a0carry on in my work because it is my work and what else am I to do but follow my heart.\u00a0This encounter with the sacred through shamanic ways and ceremony supports\u00a0inspires and brings me back practically\u00a0to\u00a0a reality that has been with me\u00a0since I was a child.\u00a0It also offers this old but new dynamic and creative relationship with nature our earth and each other in\u00a0what I see as\u00a0our community\u00a0to all, as it leads\u00a0us to release what does not and integrate what does support our lives and contribution to the whole, and we all have one to offer.\u00a0In response to this and my wish\u00a0to offer a learning experience for this\u00a0I have a number of workshops planned to open and deepen to this encounter and to learn practical ways of\u00a0working with nature as a living and\u00a0visible face of spirit.
